This course is designed to examine and apply the skills, tools and information necessary to perform basic software applications used with microcomputers. Instruction will include: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Desktop Publishing.

ADM 135 Business Math w/ 10 Key (3)    

Fundamental business arithmetic operations emphasizing development of speed and accuracy. Includes topics necessary for understanding of business and consumer application and accounting techniques. Students will become familiar with using both a mechanical and computerized 10-key calculator to complete basic mathematical operations.

ADM 141 Applied Media Technology (3)

Offers an overview of the role that media plays in modern society, with emphasis of ethics, technology, social obligation, and technical skills needed by modern communicators. Course work will include digital photography, electronic publishing and current office technology. As new technology emerges, it will be incorporated into this curriculum.

Prerequisite: ADM 101
This course is a continuation for ADM101. Students are placed in a variety of office settings with each situation emphasizing such office skills as editing, decision making, abstracting information, setting priorities, maintaining a smooth work flow, following directions and working under pressure with interruptions.

Advanced instruction on how to use database and spreadsheet software programs. This course provides students in-depth knowledge of using Microsoft Excel and Access. Students will create and manage databases and spreadsheets along with exploring the Internet as a valuable tool in today's business.
