Christi Waggoner

Title: Student Support Services Director Christi Waggoner is the Director of Student Support Services. She has eight years of experience working with TRiO programs. Christi is a native of Highland and was a Foundation Scholar at Highland Community College her first year of college. Christi came to Highland from Northwest Missouri State University where she worked as the Student Development Specialist in Student Support Services for five years. Prior to her work in higher education, Christi was a school counselor in rural Northwest Missouri. While working as a school counselor, she also worked with Upward Bound, a TRiO program that serves high school students. Christi received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Missouri Western State University and her Masters in School Guidance and Counseling from Pittsburg State University. |
Kristin Woodruff

Title: Student Support Services Retention Coordinator Kristin Woodruff is the Retention Coordinator for Student Support Services. Kristin received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri Western State University and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas. She began her career with Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, MO as a school social worker. She served the district for three years prior to coming to Highland. Kristin is a native of northeast Kansas. She and her husband Matt have one son, Gavin. They enjoy traveling, especially to warm sunny islands, and spending time with their family and friends. |
Michael Lang

Title: Student Support Services Transfer Advisor Michael Lang is the Transfer Advisor for Student Support Services. Michael is a 2003 graduate of Highland Community College where he was a Foundation Scholar and a member of the Scotties track team. He received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Communication in 2005 from Emporia State University. Since graduating from Emporia he has worked in student services at ESU and Flint Hills Technical College. Michael spends his free time reading/watching science fiction, riding his bike around while honking his horn or listening to novelty music that most people find annoying. |

Andrea Keller

Title: Admissions Representative/SSS Math Specialist Andrea Keller is the Math Specialist for the Student Support Services program. Andrea attended HCC where she was a Foundation Scholar as well as an All-Conference and All Region IV setter and captain of the Scotties volleyball team. After graduating from HCC in 2001, she received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 2004. Andrea returned to HCC as the Scotties' head volleyball coach for seven years, earning Jayhawk East Coach of the Year honors three times. She has also served as an Admissions Representative for five years and a Math Specialist for the Student Resource Center for two years. Andrea is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Higher Education Leadership. She lives in Highland with her husband Dallas, daughter Kya, and son, Jhett. |

Deborah Gregory is the Administrative Assistant for Student Support Services. Deborah has 32 years of office experience; twenty-four of those years in an educational setting including special education, private high school and college. During that time she has worked for two different grant programs: Developing Training for Bus Drivers and Title III: Strengthening the Instructional Program with Computer Aided Instruction. Deborah was born and raised in Northeast Kansas. She met her husband Jesse while attending school in Topeka. After ten years of marriage they moved back to Doniphan County to raise their two daughters Rebecca and Regina, now grown and living in Shawnee and St. Joseph.
