Kyle's education to become a certified athletic trainer started at Washburn University as a student athletic trainer. While studying at Washburn, Kyle assisted certified athletic trainers' in the medical coverage of the Ichabods' athletic teams. Kyle earned his bachelors of science in athletic training from Washburn's Nationally Accredited Athletic Training Program.

After graduation and passing the Board of Certification Exam for certified athletic trainers, Kyle worked as a graduate assistant at Ohio University. He worked with the Bobcats Intercollegiate Athletics football, and women's track and field teams. Kyle graduated from Ohio University's NATA Accredited Post-Professional Program with a masters of science in athletic training.
